I went home this past weekend to have an early Thanksgiving with my family when I captured this photo. It had been raining all morning so the lighting outside was overcast. I put my puppy in my room and was just watching TV when I looked over and saw this photo opportunity. I really enjoy how the subtle light from outside of my window reflects off of my blanket and my puppies coat. It is really stunning to see how not having direct sunlight makes the photo and object appear regal or even angelic in some ways. I also really enjoy how the light does not enter every crevice of the blanket so there are some strong shadows that lead to and from my puppy. The photo overall provides a nice transition from dark shadowy lighting to a nice bright reflective lighting.
Cute puppy and a really great soft source of light that nicely highlights the contrast in colors on the blankets and your puppy! Nice!
