Week 7/8

I find the running theme with my blogs has become finding interesting ways for sunlight to interact with trees. Something about having such a powerful source of light filtering through and reflecting off of the complex shapes created by trees is absolutely fascinating. I looked at this tree from many different angles, but this was my favorite because of the way the light seemed to turn the leaves into little lights themselves. This back-lighting was really beautiful, and brought out the vibrant green coloring of the leaves. I also liked that the leaves against the building really seemed illuminated. This really reminded me of the effects that the back PAR would have. The sun almost seems like a portal to the heavens. I also loved that this picture had the light blue of the sky in the corner to balance out the complex textures happening in the rest of the picture.

  1. Shows great contrast and directionality! We can definitely tell where the sun is coming from! It almost makes the leaves look like little confetti pieces. Nice!
