During rehearsals for "Man of La Mancha" in the Claire Trevor Theatre, I have been watching how the work lights and house lights play on various surfaces. I got to rehearsal early one night when the piano was still covered and loved how the light seemed to bounce off of the cover. It is not captured well in this photo by my pathetic phone camera, but the light glowed from the piano and created a golden/white aura all around it. The surrounding area was bathed in the light and the reflection.
nice commentary on how different materials and surfaces reflect light! That flat piano cover is really bouncing light off of it quite well! I also love the deep red seats and the wall scallops of light along the side. Even house/work lights have a design to them! Nice!
