Week 1-2 blog

I was sitting on the sandy ledge of the bay in Balboa Island. It was quite peaceful when I saw a small leaf by my side. The light was bouncing/reflecting off the pedals facing the sun. It was a very beautiful sight. I noticed how the sun brought out the yellow of the flower though it could be mistaken for being all white. This could have been because of where the sun was in the sky at 2:30pm on this sunny day. The depth and texture was interesting to observe as well because of the details the light brought out when facing this flower. I was able to see where the flower was bent. I was also able to see the detail of where the stem grew into the flower's pedals.

  1. There's a lot going on in this photo! Love the contrast of colors and focus, as well as the depth of the detail in the sand/concrete and the lovely almost out of focus sunlight reflecting off the water in the background. Nice!
